Privacy
Last updated 5 November 2026.
The short version: no account, no advertising, no cookies and nothing from other companies. Your game stays on your device. To make the game better we keep a few plain daily counts: how many people arrived, from which country and which site, and how many opened each table. None of it can be traced back to you.
What stays on your device
Your games (where the objects are, your moves, your time, how many hints you used, which tables you solved) are saved in your browser's local storage. To delete them, clear this site's data in your browser. In a private window they may not be kept at all, and the game still works.
What we count
When you arrive. Opening the home page from outside this site adds 1 to a row for that day: the country, which our host works out from your internet address, and the name of the site that sent you, such as reddit.com, if your browser tells us. This is how we learn where the game is finding friends.
When you open a table. Your browser asks our server for the table by its number. When it is today's (or the day before or after, because of time zones), we add 1 to that table's count.
Only if you press “How did others do?”. Your game then sends two rough bands, for example “5 to 10 minutes” and “no hints”. They join that day's totals, and the totals come back so you can see where you stand. Nothing about your game is sent while you play, or when you solve a table, or at any other time.
That is everything we store: those rows and their counts. We do not store your internet address, the time of your visit, the page you came from, your browser, or any code that could tell you from anyone else. A browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal is not counted at all, and can still see the totals.
Who else is involved
This site runs on Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare handles your internet address and browser details in order to deliver the pages. We do not keep them. See Cloudflare's privacy policy, opens in a new tab.
Pages here load nothing from other companies: no outside scripts, fonts or images.
When you leave or share
Share and Copy result hand the result to your own device. Where it goes after that is up to you, and we do not see it.
Links to itch.io and to our social pages take you to those sites, and their own rules apply there. The link to Table Sleuth tells itch.io only that you came from this site.
